The artwork for the book is officially under way. I received for review a nicely-sized thumbnail for a scene from “The Monkey’s Tale” this week. The coloring was excellent and the illustration had the overall feel I was hoping for. The image made a positive impression with me. I met with Paige, my gifted artist, and reviewed alternate compositions for the thumbnail. We easily came to a mutual agreement after about an hour on what it should look like in its final form, and we also selected a second scene to set to paint. Once these two illustrations are complete, we’ll begin considering drawings for “The Monkey’s Claw”. This will likely push back the print date for the book, but that's just fine if the final product benefits.
